As much as most Vancouverites are trying to deny or stop it – it’s that time of year again, the leaves are starting to turn, the temperature dropping, and everyone’s thoughts turn into fall mode. Last year I told myself that I was going to make all Christmas presents; it was super fun to come up with the ideas and just felt like I took time out of a busy time to enjoy making something with my hands.
Distant friends received the beautiful necklace on the right with a word to keep them motivated and close friends and family received a combination of a Holiday Preserve (pears, cranberries and another berry I completely forget now .. as you can see by the photo, it was delicious and went very quickly) and Irish Marmalade, again pretty damn good.
As it gets colder, now I need to figure out what I’ll be making this year. What will you be doing for Christmas 2011?
Thanks to Kristin Carlson Photography for taking a photo of the necklace.
